Mr. Pompei, a senior management executive with over 25 years of experience, serves as CFO and directs the development of the company's management team and corporate strategy. Mr. Pompei was CEO of three successful high technology companies in California's Silicon Valley.
Mr. Pompei founded NBK Corporation, a manufacturer of silicon wafers and microphotolithographic tools for the semiconductor industry, with sales reaching $15 million. He merged NBK's Photomask Division with Sierracin, an AMEX Company, and sold its Wafer Division to Kawasaki Steel Co. of Japan. Mr. Pompei went on to start Probe Technology Corp., merging it four years later with Micro Mask Corp., a NASDAQ company.
Mr. Pompei's entrepreneurial vision continued with his co-founding of Mass Microsystems, Inc., a computer peripherals manufacturer of storage and video products for Apple Macintosh computers. He served as President and CEO, taking the company public with an IPO in 1989, boasting annual revenues of $25 million. The company later merged with RAMTEK Corp., a NASDAQ company.
Earlier in his career, he held various engineering and manufacturing management positions at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, General Micro Electronics, and American Microsystems, after serving in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Pompei is a co-founder of the non-profit Private Sector Council in Washington, DC. He served on the "President's Private Sector Survey" during the Reagan Administration, commonly known as the Grace Commission.
